SOUTH COAST TOUR

This 14-hour tour will let you explore many of the local’s favourite attractions throughout the south coast of Iceland.

We will stop at the two picturesque waterfalls:

Seljalandsfoss – the one you can walk behind

Skógarfoss – the one you can climb up

We will continue along the Nr. 1 highway and see Eyjafjallajökull from the road if weather permits.

In the summer we stop at Dýrhólaey prominent island, for a chance to spot the photogenic puffin. The next stop we’ll be making is the world-renowned Reynisfjara Black Sand Beach where we’ll be able to grab a late lunch and also take a stroll along the shoreline.

We will see Mýrdalsjökull from the road where Katla the volcano hides under the icecap. Further onto Vík in Mýrdal and then we have a road trip ahead of us with the glaciers in the east in the distance. We continue to along the coast for about 2,5 hours with beautiful sights out the window. Then further off to Kirkjubæjarklaustur, we then enter the national park of Vatnajökull with extraordinary glacier views out the window.

The final destination will be the Glacier lagoon in Breiðarmerkurjökull, a glacier melting ever so fast. We will be able to take a walk to see the beautiful out-of-this-world icebergs.
